Dr Michael O'Brien is a celebrated palaeoanthropologist.
But lately, his life has gone off track.
His relationship just tanked.
And his recently-published book has drawn ridicule from academics while being hailed by crazy conspiracy theorists.
With his party-animal sister Alyssa, and her latest boyfriend Dante, he retreats to a rural outback where he obsessively pursues the unorthodox research that led his colleagues to shun him.
Here, he makes a mind-blowing discovery that’ll rescue his career.
Trapped in isolation, four flawed characters grapple with their awesome responsibilities and the delusional idea that we humans are the master species.

ABOUT THE CAST

Lois Chimimba: 2.0 Lucy
The Glasgow-born Scottish actress Lois Chimimba trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and has built a versatile career across screen and stage. She first gained wider attention as Mabli, the medic in the Doctor Who episode The Tsuranga Conundrum (2018), and has since voiced characters in Big Finish audio productions, including Doctor Who: Redacted (as Abby McPhail).

Her breakthrough came with prominent roles in Netflix's The One (2021) as Hannah, Sky Atlantic's The Lazarus Project as Archie, and appearances in Vigil, Shetland, and Sex Education.

In 2025, she starred in the thriller mini-series Cold Water (Paramount+) alongside Andrew Lincoln and Indira Varma, and made her writing debut in a collaborative project.

A BAFTA Scotland nominee, she continues to excel in genre and dramatic work, with recent theatre including a lead in Macbeth (2025 productions).

Joe Eyre: Michael
Joe Eyre has developed a solid portfolio in short films, television, and theatre. Early credits include shorts like Binary and The Art Collector, alongside an appearance in BBC's EastEnders.

On stage, he has performed in Terence Rattigan's French Without Tears (multi-theatre tour) and more recently in productions such as The Government Inspector at Chichester Festival Theatre (2025).

He is also active as a voice artist and writer, contributing to games, podcasts, and animation. In 2.0 Lucy, he plays a central role opposite Chimimba, showcasing his ability to handle intimate, character-driven narratives.

Francesca Henry: Alyssa
Francesca Henry began with guest spots in medical and crime dramas including Doctors, A Discovery of Witches and Silent Witness.

She rose to prominence, joining BBC's EastEnders in 2023 as Gina Knight, the spirited daughter of George and Cindy, a regular role she has continued into 2025–2026 while balancing theatre commitments.

In late 2025, she was cast in the new stage production Clause & Effect alongside Richard Blackwood, but remains a fixture in the soap without departing the show. Her performance as Gina has brought depth and edge to the long-running series.

Dan Parr: DanteDan Parr is a versatile and prolific theatre actor with extensive credits across the UK, including Lava (Soho Theatre), Road (Royal Court and Leeds Playhouse), The Kitchen Sink (New Vic), multiple Shakespeare productions (Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet) at Leeds Playhouse and Barbican, and work at Royal Exchange Theatre and Finborough.

His television appearances span Silent Witness, The Musketeers, Casualty, The Crimson Field, and The Village.

Recent credits include the video game Atomfall (2025) and upcoming short Finding Awesome (2026), as well as audio description work and involvement in 2026 theatre adaptations like Macbeth at Chester Storyhouse.
